Small bumps and scrapes can quickly become expensive when vehicles regularly pass close to walls, pillars and other fixed structures. A simple corner protector can make a significant difference – both by protecting the structure and by making the obstacle much easier for drivers to see.
One of our customers recently shared a great example of how our Corner/Column Protector – Basic can be used in a residential setting.
Protecting a vulnerable driveway corner
In the installation shown above, the protector has been fitted vertically to the end of a low rendered wall alongside a driveway.
With a vehicle parked close to the wall and a relatively narrow entrance, the corner is particularly vulnerable when cars are entering or leaving the property. Instead of leaving the exposed edge of the wall unprotected, the customer has added a highly visible impact-resistant protector.
The black, white and yellow design makes the edge much easier to spot from the driver's seat, while the protector provides a physical barrier between the vehicle and the wall.
It's a simple installation, but one that can help prevent chipped render, damaged brickwork and scratches or dents to vehicles.
Not just for warehouses and car parks
Our Corner/Column Protector – Basic is designed to protect columns, posts and other vulnerable structures from vehicle impact. It is manufactured from impact-resistant plastic and measures 90 × 140 × 900 mm, making it suitable for protecting long vertical edges. Mounting screws and wall plugs are also included.
Typical applications include warehouses, industrial facilities and parking areas, but this customer installation demonstrates that the same type of protection can also work extremely well around the home.
